Depot Protection & Safety Systems
Rail Depot Protection Systems are meticulously designed systems that
protect rail operatives and staff working in and around maintenance and
inspection sheds from the potential dangers of the unauthorised or accidental
movement of rail vehicles. They comprise a coordinated network of signals,
automatic or manual derailers and audible and/or visual warning schemes.
Falcon has been working in this specialist field since the mid 1980's,
making it one of the UK's leading contractors for the supply, installation,
upgrade and maintenance of these systems. The company can boast many of
the major UK rail companies in its client list.
Falcon can handle all projects from conception to completion, including
design, supply, installation and commissioning of all equipment and services.
From civil works, rail drilling and electrical installation, right through
to control panel design, build and programming, Falcon's in-house engineers
deal with every aspect of the task.
The service is supported by a 24 hour / 7 days a week call-out facility.
Projects recently completed include:
- the upgrade of an existing system and installation of a new one at
Ramsgate Maintenance Depot
- the upgrade of a system at Wimbledon Traincare Depot
